Food Committee

The Food Committee is a monthly open forum for all Lister residents to evaluate and review Dining Services operations. We want to hear from you -- the good, the bad, and the ugly! All residents are welcome to attend. Please contact your food ambassadors to RSVP.

Food Ambassadors:

Talk to your Food Ambassador to get peer guidance about the Lister dining experience. They are the experts on eating on a meal plan and also want to hear your feedback and suggestions!

  Isaac Besse (Mackenzie Hall)
Hi, my name is Isaac and am currently serving as your Mackenzie Hall Food Ambassador. I am in my third year of Mechanical Engineering here at the U of A. My favorite food from the Lister Market would have to be the new and improved pasta station! Going downstairs to the Marina my favorite food would be the Club Sandwich or the new TossnRoll station. Feel free to reach out to any of us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions!
  Emma Berkhold (Kelsey Hall)
Hey! I am Emma your Kelsey Food Ambassador. I am a second year student originally from Calgary AB. This is my second year living in kelsey, I lived on 9k last year and call 2k my home this year. I would definitely recommend hitting up the caf for the make your own sandwich station this year, its new to lister and really good! As a runner and a swimmer my favorite thing from the mar is definitely the Melona popsicles or funky monkey Booster Juice, neither of them ever disappoint. If you ever have any feedback, concerns or just want to say hi feel free to come chat me up, I won’t bite!

Gary Elaschuk (Schaffer Hall)

Hi my name is Gary Elaschuk and I’m your Schaffer Hall Food Ambassador. I’m from Lac La Biche , AB and I’m in my third year of Biology. My favorite food from the Caf would have to be the burritos, I especially like the guac that’s served with them. My favorite thing to get in the Marina is definitely booster juice, lately I’ve been drinking a lot of the Canadian colodas. Also I would highly recommended the food at PLH, my favorite thing to get from there would be the pudding desserts. If you see me around don’t be afraid to talk to me or offer any suggestions, also feel free to reach out to me through the FA email or Facebook.
  Lauren Laturnus (Henday Hall)
Hey, my name is Lauren and I am the food ambassador for Henday Hall. I am originally from North Delta, BC and I am currently in my second year of the animal biology specialization program. Being allergic to gluten, I can definitely vouch for the caf’s gluten free sandwiches or the stir fry (with rice of course) and you will almost always see me with a Tim’s coffee in my hand. If I were able to eat wheat, I would highly recommend the waffle station, as waffles are wonderful and can fix anything - trust me. Please come visit me on 2 Henday anytime you have concerns or just want to chat about penguins or whales!
