Parking Services

Parking Services provides a full range of parking and transportation-related services on all University campuses. We serve faculty and staff, students, and visitors in their day-to-day parking needs, as well as during special events.

A portion of parking revenues directly fund the University's sustainable transportation initiatives.

BACKING INTO STALLS IS PROHIBITED

Parking Services reminds drivers that license plate visibility is necessary when parking in UAlberta lots. Since the province of Alberta only requires a rear licence plate, you must drive forward into your parking stall for your plate to be visible. Complying with proper parking procedures will facilitate the implementation of future parking enforcement technologies such as license plate recognition cameras and parking stall counters. If safety concerns require you to back your vehicle into a stall, please contact Parking Dispatch with your vehicle details at 24U-PARK (780-248-7275). You may be required to provide written documentation for your requirements. Thank you for your cooperation.

ELECTRICAL PLUG-IN SCHEDULE

As the temperatures drop, please make note of the electrical plug-in power cycle schedule for your designated parking lot, located here.

PARKING STRUCTURE LIGHTING UPGRADE

ENvision Logo

University of Alberta Parking Services and Energy Management are working together to implement a campus-wide parking structure lighting upgrade. LED lights and motion sensors have been installed in the Southfield Carpark to optimize the lighting and reduce energy use. Stadium Carpark is currently undergoing a similar upgrade, with work beginning at Timms/Telus Carpark in the near future. This lighting upgrade greatly reduces energy consumption, reducing utility costs and the overall carbon footprint of UAlberta. This initiative is part of a much larger $35M energy management program, currently in its third year of execution.
